Joseph W. Gaskill (b. 1843) was a corporal in Company B, 104th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the American Civil War. The collection consists of a descriptive roll of Company B, 104th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry (1862-65), a history of the Company by Gaskill, and Gaskill's diary for 1864, during which time he saw action in Tennessee and Georgia. Includes an unpublished, incomplete manuscript of a book about Abraham Lincoln, written by Gaskill. |
