Abstract:
Lake County, Ohio, (f. 1840) was formed when the seven northern townships of Geauga County, and Chagrin (now Willoughby) of Cuyahoga County, withdrew from their respective counties to form Lake County. The collection consists of lists of names of youth between the ages of 5 and 21 in eleven districts of Lake County's Painesville Township, along with names of parents or guardians. Some school enumerations for Madison Village are also included.
