Abstract: |
Charles Asa Post (1848-1943) was a businessman and historian, of Cleveland, Ohio. His works on local history include Doans Corners and the City Four Miles West (Cleveland: The Caxton Company, 1930); "The Cuyahoga, the Crooked River that Made a City Great," 1941; and Those Were the Days (Cleveland: The Caxton Company, 1935). The collection consists of correspondence (1927-1941), research notes, and preliminary and final copies of an unpublished ms. on social clubs in Cleveland; personal papers, including correspondence (1917-1918), journal (1930-1935), and letters (1930-1931) received by Post from recipients of his book on Doan's Corners Ohio. |
