Abstract:
Whiting Williams (1878-1976) was an author and lecturer in Cleveland, Ohio, who was an expert on labor and management problems and served as a corporate consultant on personnel issues and public relations. The collection consists of correspondence, autobiographical essays, magazine articles he authored, newspaper clippings, some items relating to his daughter Caroline, a family genealogy, and a will. The collection is useful in detailing Williams' attitudes about unions, management philosophy, and social psychology, and reveals the personal life of Williams as well.
