Abstract: |
Frank Szappanos (1912-1975) was a noted Hungarian-American radio announcer who began his career in 1939. He was active in many cultural organizations and events in the Cleveland, Ohio, Hungarian community, including Night in Budapest, the Szappanos Radio Ball, and tours to Hungary. The collection consists of newspaper clippings, 1939-1975; correspondence, 1960-1966; a eulogy delivered by Reverend Laszlo Rosko upon Szappanos' death in 1975; and publications, including an electrostatic copy of a Hungarian song book compiled by Szappanos in 1941. |

The Frank Szappanos Papers, 1939-1975, consist of newspaper clippings, 1939-1975; correspondence, 1960-1966; a eulogy delivered by Rev. Laszlo Rosko upon Szappanos' death in 1975; and publications, including an electrostatic copy of a Hungarian song book compiled by Szappanos in 1941.
