Abstract:
The Cleveland Bar Association is an organization (f. 1873) of Cleveland, Ohio, lawyers whose purpose is to maintain the honor and dignity of the law profession and promote legal and judicial reform. Operating via a series of committees, the association over the years has investigated misconduct by lawyers, judges, sheriffs, and police, which has resulted in resignations and/or disbarment. The collection consists of individual and group portraits of members. Also includes the following subjects: Court Management Study Committee; Law in Urban Affairs, East High School; Call for Action (1975); Justice Center, Mayor's Court (1972); Securities Law Institute (1972); Trial Advocacy Institute (1972); Your Day in Court Project (1977); and the Law Office Economics Committee (1973-1975).
