Abstract:
Carl Eugene Howell and James William Thomas, Sr. established the architectural firm of Howell & Thomas in Columbus, OH in 1908. To accommodate the increasing number of jobs in the area Howell & Thomas opened a Cleveland office in 1914. This collection contains architectural drawings related to the various projects undertaken by Howell & Thomas. This includes many significant residences, educational buildings, churches, and commercial buildings, most notably in Cleveland and Columbus, as well as in many other states. Collection processed and EAD Finding Aid created by Chad E. Statler under the direction of Special Collections Librarian Kelly Ross-Brown and Special Collections Department Manager Pamela Eyerdam.
