Scope and Content

This collections documents the papers and publicatons of John Carroll University alumni which may also include photographs, correspondence, teaching notes, etc. Currently, the collection consisits of 13 boxes of material associated with the alumnus, Charles August Culotta. This material denotes his caraeer as a teacher at both Bryn Mawr College and at the University of Pennsylvania and includes: correspondence (involving the American Association for Advancement for Science Membership, the American Association for the History of Medicine, Episteme, Bryn Mawr Faculty Meetings, study leaves, etc.), subject/lecture notes (relating to the McArdle Laboratory, to the history of science and also to the histories of respiratory theory, theoretical biology, and physiology) and papers and publications.
