History of the Division of Academic Affairs

"Academic Affairs includes undergraduate and graduate degree programs, the Ursuline Studies Program, the Besse Library, Computer Information Services, the Wasmer Gallery, the offices of academic support and disability services, and the registrar. Academic Affairs seeks to develop the whole person: intellectual, spiritual, aesthetic, and social dimensions of students. Goals of this area also include ensuring the highest quality academic programming in support of the Mission of the College, supervising all faculty and academic administrative personnel, and monitoring policies and standards for all instruction."

"The Division of Academic Affairs, with its focus on teaching and learning, engages most directly with students and faculty; in addition, it engages with external constituencies such as sister institutions, other area organizations, and businesses." (HLC Self-Study, 2012)

Scope and Content
