This collection contains illustrations and correspondence concerning Mosher's original painting, "The Bishop's Boys" (2003), depicting the Wright Brothers in flight over Huffman Prairie on May 25, 1910, the only time the brothers ever flew together. The collection also includes materials concerning Mosher's "Great Moments in U.S. Naval History" series (1997).

Biography of Dean Mosher

Dean Mosher is a highly acclaimed historical artist based in Fairhope, Alabama. Dean Mosher's epic historic paintings are located in museums, National Park Service Visitor Centers, and public buildings around the country, including Wright Brothers-themed works at Carillon Historical Park in Dayton and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. He served for five years as Historian General of the Naval Order of the United States and received the Commander General's medal for saving the organization's archives. Scope and Content

This collection contains illustrations and correspondence concerning Mosher's original painting, "The Bishop's Boys" (2003), depicting the Wright Brothers in flight over Huffman Prairie on May 25, 1910, the only time the brothers ever flew together. The collection also includes materials concerning Mosher's "Great Moments in U.S. Naval History" series (1997).
