History of Miami University Football Media Guides Collection

Miami University has fielded intercollegiate football teams since 1888 and possesses a rich football tradition. Known as the "Cradle of Coaches,". It has produced numerous successful college and football coaches, including Paul Brown, Weeb Ewbank, Ara Parseghian, John Pont, Bo Schembechler, Bill Mallory and John Harbaugh.

Scope and Content

Guides include player biographies and photos, schedules, rosters, player and team records, and season statistical summaries.

Organized chronologically into the following series: I. "Football Dope," 1947-1955; II. "Pocket" Media Guides, 1956-1989; III. Full Size Guides, 1990-
