Ohio University graduate Cable Neuhaus has held the titles of Los Angeles bureau chief for Entertainment Weekly magazine from 1999 to 2000, bureau chief and correspondent for People magazine from 2000 to 2002, and editor-in-chief for Folio: magazine beginning in 2002. In the 1980s, he was editorial director of the Crosby Vandenburgh Group, a Boston-based contract publisher of six mass-circulation magazines. Besides his titled positions, he is a contributing editor, freelance writer, and consultant to a range of consumer and trade magazines. He has been on the faculty of the journalism and English departments of the Pennsylvania State University.
The Cable Neuhaus papers span from 1969 to 2000 and document Neuhaus's journalism career. The collection includes correspondence; interview and research notes; magazine article drafts, photographs, sketches, notes and clippings; telephone logs; invoices; and lists of departments and writers.
