The Alumni Association (AA) records span from 1859 to 2004 and document the procedures and activities of the AA at Ohio University.
The Alumni Association has also been known as the Alumni Development Office and Alumni Affairs. The collection is organized
into three series: 1. Alumni Association; 2. Alumni Chapters; and 3. Student Alumni Board

Series Description
1. Alumni Association, 1859-2009 Scope and Content Alumni Association contains all records created by the Alumni Association of Ohio University. General includes correspondence;
class lists; meeting minutes and materials; evaluations from the National Alumni Board meetings; memoranda; brochures; photographs
and photograph albums; scrapbooks; video cassettes; magnetic tapes; financial records; notes and plans for homecoming, senior
projects, awards banquets and reunions; printed programs and packets from events; and other event memorabilia such as t-shirts.
Publications include directories and issues of the Ohio University Alumnus Magazine, Alumni Reunion Record, alumni reunion
souvenir booklets and Ohio Today. Former names for Ohio Today are The Ohio Alumnus, Ohio University Alumni Journal and Ohio
University Today. Issues of the publications by the Alumni Association have been digitized and are available at the
Internet Archive.
Organized into two subseries: 1. General; and 2. Publications.
2. Alumni Chapters, 1920-1989 Scope and Content Alumni Chapters contains records from alumni chapter networks, which are geographically-based groups of alumni. Sometimes
they are known as area associations. Chapters represented include the Lancaster Branch, the Columbus Area Association of Ohio
University Women, the Cleveland Women's Alumni Club, Ohio University Men in the Greater Cleveland Area, the Philadelphia Chapter,
and the Southern California branch. Records include constitutions, correspondence, meeting minutes, newsletters, reports and
scrapbooks.
This series remains in its original arrangement.
3. Student Alumni Board, 1988-1992 Scope and Content Student Alumni Board contains annual reports and budgets for this division of the Alumni Association at Ohio University.
