Guide to the Americana Pamphlet Collection Part A

Scope and Content

The collection consists of over 950 pamphlets published between 1791 and 1992. The majority of the collection is from the 19th Century. Contents include political speeches and hearings, commentary on governmental actions, sermons and reports on institutions and groups. Topics are varied and range from agriculture, slavery, coins, cooking, suffrage and war. All of the pamphlets were published in the United States and reflect the culture of America over a two hundred year period.
