Biography of Gaylord M. Yoder

Gaylord M. Yoder, born July 26, 1923 served as a tail gunner in World War II until his honorable discharge on October 23, 1945. He flew on both a B-25 and a B-26. He was awarded three air medals and five battle stars. He participated in the landings on D Day, The Battle of the Bulge and Po Valley in Italy. He died on May 15, 2015.

Scope and Content

This collection contains photocopies of Yoder's honorable discharge form, photographs of Yoder, and a history of the 386th Bombardment Group. It also includes Yoder's insignia and ribbons as well as a 554th Bomb Squadron Emblem and 12th Air Force Patch.
