This series consists of analog agreements, contracts, financial statements, grants, licenses, reports, concerning Research Day at Case Institute of Technology (CIT), space allocations, government and military contracts including those of the Department of the Navy with Western Reserve University; NASA, the Air Force and CIT; CIT fellowships and stipends, CIT participation in the Argonne University Association and uranium licenses from the Atomic Energy Commission for research at CIT. Includes records from both William T. Heston, Director of University Office of Research, Western Reserve University and R.H. Thomas, Director of Research Administration Office, Case Institute of Technology.

Materials do not circulate. Materials are available by appointment only. Appointments must be made at least 72 hours in advance. Folders containing non-directory personally identifiable information about students, employee evaluations, grievance/disciplinary proceedings, salary/income/financial status, mental/physical health, allegations of misconduct that are unresolved or to which the accused has not responded, or anonymous donors, are restricted.
