Breanne Trammell is an artist and educator currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio, as Assistant Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Cincinnati. She has held a number of academic appointments and was Assistant Professor of Print Media & Photography at Kent State University from 2016-2017. She is an MFA graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and earned her BFA from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has shown her work in a number of solo and group exhibitions.
This is a small collection of publications created by artist Breanne Trammell while she was at Kent State University as Assistant
Professor of Print Media & Photography. The content of these publications, created in spring of 2017, was inspired in part
by Trammell's exploration of content within the
May 4 Collection, housed in Kent State University Special Collections and Archives. Trammell's work on this suite of inter-related publications
was sponsored by the Kent State University Research Council. The works consist of artist's books and broadsides. The broadsides
are formatted in a size and style similar to protest signs created for and used in demonstrations of the United States Civil
Rights movement of the 1960s and 1970s.
