History of Interfaith of Bell County Inc. and Sister Marjorie Learning Center

The 2003 Community Directory states that the Sisters served in Pineville, Kentucky in a variety of missions from 1983 through to the present (2003). From the list of Sisters who served in Pineville included in the collection, Sister Marjorie Grudowski was initially missioned to coordinate efforts at the Interfaith of Bell County, Inc. as well as assist with the local St. Anthony Parish. Other Sisters assisted in this ministry in subsequent years. In 1996, Sister Ruth Ann Rody provided pastoral nursing care to the area. She continued in that ministry at the Knox County Home Health program in Barbourville, Kentucky from 1997 to 2011. Sister Mary Imelda Sekerak continued the ministry in Pineville until at least 2007, when she received a commendation by the Pineville Mayor's office.

Scope and Content

This collection consists of nine file folders containing, in part, correspondence, , news clippings, historical information, newsletters, and reports from the Interfaith of Bell County Inc. program, which includes the Sister Marjorie Learning Center. Also includes is a listing of Sisters who served in Pineville, Kentucky.
