thirteen pages of exerpts from the letters of Nourse written and sent from Paris from August 1, 1914 to November 19, 1918.
Mendenhall also quotes from an article by Raymond Recouly in La Revue de France and from The Figaro. On page twenty-four there
is a short introduction and the poem "To My Son, Dead on the Field of Honor" by the French poet Anatole La Braz., 1922
