Abstract:
The Rose I. Bender (Mrs. Oscar C.) papers, 1912-1950, outline Rose Bender's involvement in Hadassah during the 1930s and 1940s, as well as her work with numerous other Zionist organizations of the time. Much of the collection deals with the organization's work to open Palestine to larger Jewish immigration. The collection consists of correspondence, reports, newsclippings, papers and miscellaneous items detailing the shared efforts of these Zionist organizations. The collection is divided into folders representing the various organizations, as well as personal correspondence, notes and miscellaneous.
