Abstract:
The Henry C. Blosser papers were processed 5/12/2016 after being discovered in a box of records related to R.L. Hartzler and Witmarsum Seminary. Rev. H.C. Blosser was born in 1862 in Pandora, Ohio, and served as a pastor in reformed churches in Shelby, Ohio, Bluffton, Ohio, and elsewhere. Blosser died in 1938 in the Bluffton hospital after an extended illness. Blosser was diabetic; this fact appears in these papers but it is not known whether this condition contributed to his death. The papers include correspondence and sermons in both outline and longhand forms, as well as sermon series presumed to have been organized in that manner by Blosser himself. The contents were appraised and processed by Carrie Phillips during May 2016. The collection fills a single letter size document case. (Carrie Phillips, Archives & Special Collections Librarian)
