The Association of the United States Army, Newton D. Baker Chapter, was the Cleveland, Ohio, chapter of a national organization designed to bring together people interested in military affairs and the role of the Army in protecting national security. History of the Association of the United States Army, Newton D. Baker Chapter

The Association of the United States Army, Newton D. Baker Chapter (f. 1957), located in Cleveland, Ohio, is a chapter of the Second Region of the Association of the United States Army. The purpose of the national organization is to bring interested people, soldiers and civilians alike, together to discuss military affairs and to support the legitimate role of the Army in protecting national security. The local chapters serve to bring the latest ideas on the subject to their local communities. The chapter in Cleveland was named for Newton D. Baker, who was mayor of Cleveland from 1912 to 1916 and served as President Woodrow Wilson's secretary of war during World War I.
