Jozsef Remenyi (1891-1956) was a Hungarian-born author, educator, newspaper editor, and professor of comparative literature at Western Reserve University (1929-1956) in Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of letters from 27 well-known literary figures to Remenyi, tributes, and memorial services. Correspondents include James Branch Cabell, Willa S. Cather, Waldo Frank, Langston Hughes, Robert Nathan, Allen Tate, and Mark Van Doren.
