Abstract: |
The collection consists of maps, photograph scrapbook and one case of documents pertaining to copyright ownership of materials
from Mr. Suchy's estate. These maps were designed and executed by Cleveland resident, Arthur B. Suchy, and contain geographic
and historical detail. The scrapbook contains photographs from Mr. Suchy's time at Colgate University between the years of
1918-1919. The case of copyright ownership and conveyance documents is an assembled archive of items that were in Suchy's
possession.

Biography of Arthur B. Suchy
Arthur B. Suchy (1899-1995) was a map illustrator (1920-1940) as well as a collector of maps, photographs, prints and other
visual art materials. He attended Colgate College ca. 1920 and had a career in industrial and product design.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of maps which were designed and executed by Arthur B. Suchy between 1920 and 1940, a photograph scrapbook
from 1918 containing photographs of Mr. Suchy's time as a student at Colgate College, and documents related to Mr. Suchy's
estate.
