Robert A. Seeley (1930-1998) was born in Freeport, Illinois. Seeley moved to Hudson in 1967 and was employed by the Merchants Property Insurance Co. of Indianapolis, Indiana, until his retirement in 1983. In Hudson, he was actively involved in the Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed photography and also designed sets for the Hudson Players.
The photograph collection consists of Seeley's various photographs of Hudson, Ohio, many used for the Hudson Hub-Times, the local newspaper. The black-and-white photographs depict various people, places, events, and scenes in Hudson.

The collection was processed by Polly Reynolds in October 2011.
Some of the negatives were removed from their original sleeves and placed into archival sleeves. Photocopies of the sleeve identifications were made and filed with the negatives.
