 Dr. James Kiriazis was the head of the Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work Department at Youngstown State University. He taught classes primarily in gerontology. He also served on several boards related to his interests in Social Work and Gerontology.

Biography of Dr. James Kiriazis

Dr. James Kiriazis served as a chairman of the Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work department of Youngstown State University. He served a three year term, ending in 1987, on the Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Licensing Board. Dr Kiriazis also served as a Research Professor in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at NEOUCOM.

Scope and Content

The materials in this collection primarily consist of items relating to Dr Kiriazis's scholarship on aging and gerontology. Included in this collection are materials related to programs he taught at Youngstown State University and NEOUCOM. There are also materials from various social work committees on which Dr Kiriazis served.
