OhioDance is a professional network for all forms of dance in Ohio. It was founded in 1976 under the name "Association of Ohio Dance Companies" and the name was changed in 1984 to "OhioDance" in order to include the members of the organization other than just the dance companies. Their members include colleges, universities, students, teachers, professional dancers, choreographers, presenters, businesses, volunteers, and lovers of dance. They attempt to be inclusive of different groups of people and various styles of dance. OhioDance's largest annual event is their dance festival which features artists and organizations from all over Ohio. Along with this festival, they also organize masterclasses, showcases, service projects, and performances for dancers and dance lovers in Ohio. Their bimonthly newsletter and monthly calendar of dance events are comprehensive sources of dance activities and information pertinent to their members. OhioDance provides a regional network for its members to connect with and become involved with other dance organizations in Ohio. They have a board of trustees who coordinate dance events and structure of the organization.
