Robert Buschmiller Robert Buschmiller was ordained into the priesthood on May 20, 1944. He then began doctoral studies in Fribourg, Switzerland, and later continued studies in philosophy at the Angelicum in Rome. His travel diary is likely from this period of study in Europe. He returned to Cincinnati and served as faculty at St. Mary Seminary in Norwood from 1949-1967, dean of the college of liberal arts at the Athenaeum from 1967-1971. Rev. Buschmiller also served as pastor at a number of parishes throughout Cincinnati and Dayton: St. Cecilia, Oakley; St. Andrew, Milford; St. James of the Valley in Wyoming; at St. Louis and St. Mary parishes in Cincinnati; at St. Mary parish in Dayton and at St. Ann parish in Hamilton. John Feldman John Feldman was born on March 8, 1851 in Dayton, Ohio. He attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bardstown, Kentucky from 1865-1866. He then studied philosophy and theology at Mount St. Mary Seminary. He was ordained on May 30, 1874. He stayed on at Mount St. Mary Seminary as a professor of classics from 1874-1879. He served several parishes throughout the Archdiocese before being appointed pastor at Sacred Heart, Camp Washington from 1884 until his death in 1918. Augustin M. Quatman Born in Cincinnati on January 31, 1847. Studied philosophy and theology Mt. St. Mary Seminary. Knows English and German. Quatman was ordained on December 16, 1869. He served as assistant pastor at St. Peter's Cathedral from 1869-1883 then as pastor at St. Francis de Sales until his death in 1909. Joseph Stoeppelmann Born in Cincinnati on August 9, 1852. He studied philosophy and Theology at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati and was ordained September 23, 1876. He spoke both German and English. Served a variety of parishes throughout the Archdiocese, including: St. Aloysius, St. Anthony, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Our Lady of Sacred Heart, Reading, St. Michael, St. Brigid, Xenia, St. Elizabeth, Norwood, St. Louis, St. Charles Borromeo. Stoeppelmann died in October, 1902. Joseph A. Tieken Monsignor Joseph Tieken was born in Cincinnati, studied philosophy at St. Xavier College and theology at Mt. St. Mary Seminary. He was ordained on June 17, 1897. After serving as assistant pastor at Sacred Heart Church, Camp Washington, he was commissioned to study the feasibility of organizing a parish in Westwood. St. Catharine was established in 1903 and Tieken serve as pastor until his death in 1948. He was invested as a Monsignor by Archbishop McNicholas in 1944.
