History of Alpha Tau Delta
Alpha Tau Delta National Fraternity for Professional Nurses is a professional nursing organization, committed to providing
an intra-fraternal spirit of cooperation by offering an opportunity for nurses to promote their personal and intellectual
growth through education, networking, scholarships, guidance and a collective responsibility to the fraternity. Alpha Tau
Delta seeks to achieve an environment that fosters excellence of individual performance, advancement of education, character
enrichment and leadership. This collection is information specific to the Epsilon Chapter at The Ohio State University College
of Nursing.
Scope and Content
The Alpha Tau Delta Records (9 linear feet) contains information specific to The Ohio State University College of Nursing’s
Epsilon Chapter.
Statement of Arrangement
Series I: Administration (3 boxes) primarily contains information about membership, finances, and meetings. This series is
arranged alphabetically.
Series II: Artifacts (1 box) contains small artifacts related to the organization. This series is arranged by item.
Series III: Media (7 boxes) contains two scrapbooks that have been rehoused in archival binder boxes as well as 5 additional
scrapbooks. This series is arranged by item.
Series IV: Presidents’ Notebooks (2 boxes) contains notebooks of several presidents of the Epsilon chapter. This series is
arranged chronologically.
Restrictions on Access
The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate
and must be used in the supervised reading room.
