History of Terrace Guild

This Social Service Center had been founded in 1947 by a group of women volunteers whose first project was to provide assistance to needy families at Christmas time. Programs were expanded and by 1960, when the Operation adopted the name Terrace Guild, families were being offered help in budgeting, meal planning, and tutoring. In 1979, Sister Julia Mary Dieters began to work in the Adult Education Division. She established and directed a program of preparation for the GED. She continued to broaden and to improve the program through the years. Sister left Terrace Guild in 2003.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of one file folder containing newsletters, historical reports, brochures, and a list of Sisters who served at the ministry.
