The Diocese of Cleveland purchased the former estate of Sophie Taylor in 1943 for use by Archbishop Edward Hoban. He lived in the house until his death in 1966. His successor, Bishop Clarence Issenmann, lived there until 1977, when the diocese sold the mansion. The house was demolished for a development in the area in 1999. (Source: "Lake Defects", Cleveland Scene, August 5, 1999) The 2003 Community Directory states that the Sisters served at the Archbishop's Residence from 1943 to 1970.
Included in this collection is one file containing photographs from the Archbishop's Residence, a news clipping, and listings of the Sisters who had ministered in Bratenahl, Ohio.
