OhioLINK EAD FACTORy (Finding Aid Creation Tool and Online Repository)

Information for Contributors

Registration

Before your institution may use the EAD Application (encoding tool) and submit finding aids to the OhioLINK Repository, you must register as a contributor.*

*Please note: Each contributing institution must specify an administrator/contact person who will then request and manage individual user accounts for his or her institution.

Registration also requires an Library of Congress MARC Institution Code. Many institutions already have this code. To check to see if your institution has a code, please see the MARC Codes database. If your institution does not have a code you may request a code be created.

Training Opportunities

• Online training modules are currently under development. At this time no additional in-person workshops have been scheduled. When additional training opportunities are planned, announcements will be made on several archives and library email lists.
